I absolutely loved working on this shoot! It was a gorgeous spring day, and we shot in Yorkville (who doesn’t love an excuse to hang out in Yorkville for the day).
There was so much talent involved in this shoot, starting with our gorgeous model @carolinewhitee. She’s wearing an elegant lace top and skirt designed by the very talented @winsdesign and some super chic showpiece hats by the amazing @hatitudecanada. Last but not least, these great shots were taken by the very talented @yaamon. Makeup by yours truly.

I’ve been doing a lot of makeup work recently for the Toronto edition of Panoram Italia magazine, which if you haven’t heard of it is an awesome magazine geared toward young and hip Italian Canadians (my husband is the biggest fan).
I recently had the opportunity to do their cover shoot featuring the awesome @superwinegirl Angela Aiello. Angela is a wine guru and an Editor, Writer, and Host, and as founder of the iYellow Wine Club she has been making wine awesome since 2006. It was an absolute pleasure being her makeup artist for the cover shoot and the results look amazing, although she needed absolutely no help looking beautiful.

There are several factors that go into choosing the best makeup artist for your wedding. You need to consider the experience and background of the artist as well as their understanding of the different principles of hair and makeup. You also have to feel confident that they will work to make you look your best on your special day. There are several different places in Toronto for wedding makeup and hair, so you need to choose wisely.
One of the first things to consider is the experience of your artist. You want someone who has a background in both aesthetics and makeup. The aesthetics training allows them to understand the different types of combinations that go into creating the perfect bridal look. This includes everything from matching skin tone to makeup and developing hair styles that complement the shape of your face.
For example, if you have a heart shaped face, you may want to have your hair pulled toward the back of your head. This allows your cheekbones to be displayed without pointing out the smaller chin associated with this type of face. If you have a longer face with a wider jaw, your artist may want to have tendrils of hair framing the face to give it a softer, more rounded appearance.

When you are interviewing different artists for your wedding, ask them these questions before you make a decision. What type of colors will they be using on your face? Can they work with your hair to accent the shape of your face? Will the makeup be strong enough for photos but still look natural during the actual ceremony?
